I. What does it include? Why would you want to use it? Here are a few of its features:
In addition, you get:
• English pronunciation by voice synthesis (using PlainTalk).
• Drag & Drop, allowing you to drag words between Ultra Lingua and other applications.
• Fully network-ready.
• A comprehensive on-line grammar reference for English, with special tools for English as a Second Language.
• Tables providing samples of correspondence, metric conversions, and more.
• A search system using wildcards, so you can search for word fragments or letter patterns.
III. How do you use it?
It's pretty easy. Launch Ultra Lingua by double-clicking on it; the rest is fairly intuitive.
To use Ultra Lingua with other applications, set the Magic Key preferences (in the preferences menu); the Magic Key will allow you to launch Ultra Lingua from within other applications, and even send words directly from those applications to the dictionary.
For additional features, check out the on-line manual under the Help menu, or click on the "Quick help" button on the right side of the main dictionary window.
Minimum configuration : 68020, MacOS 7.1 and later (8, 8.1, 8.5, 8.6...), and all Power Macintoshes.
